Module 1: Fundamentals

When athletes wear different devices

The topic

All topics

Two devices can report different numbers for the same drill. Module 1 explains why: each computes its metrics by its own formula, so the usual answer is not that one of them is wrong. Watches that athletes own cost the club nothing, but they bring mixed models, mixed accuracy and limits on what you can export. Share how you work with a squad that does not wear the same device.

Questions to start from

  • Which numbers do you still compare between athletes, and which have you stopped comparing?
  • What changed in your records when the club or an athlete changed device?
