A flag before an important match

The programme asks coaches to tell athletes and staff how the system works before the first flag fires, so that an orange flag is read as modify, not punish. The test comes when one fires before a match that matters. In the programme's basketball case the conditioning volume was cut and the match minutes were left alone, and the player kept reporting honestly. Share how you handle it.
